New curtains will add the final touches to centre
Meropa Casino and Entertainment World continues to add final touches to the renovations and refurbishments at Reakgona Disability Centre's Meropa House.
POLOKWANE – Meropa Casino and Entertainment World continues to add final touches to the renovations and refurbishments at Reakgona Disability Centre’s Meropa House.
As the official handover day for the renovated house approaches, the team is furnishing, painting, and making it suitable for the girls.
As a result of the home’s safety and security features, it has been decided that the home will be used to accommodate all the female residents of Reakgona Disability Centre.
Last Friday, Eltasha Guest House donated curtains to the value of R8 000 for Meropa House.
Meropa’s corporate social investment practitioner, Mothomoni Mapela said the help came at the right time when everyone involved was thinking about the curtains, colours, and other interior finishes. “There was so much joy on the faces of centre management and staff. This is indeed the best gift and a relief to the management of Reakgona Disability Centre,” Mapela said.
Mmaphefo Linchwe, the manager of Eltasha Guest House said their participation at the centre fulfilled their dream of extending a helping hand to the disadvantaged. “We identified a number of skills they learn like carpentry and sewing and we would like for the residents few things for us. Our aim is to help sustain the centre, empower the learners and contribute toward their well-being.”
