Happy ending for 2

Her love for animals was the reason why Adele Heinlein created a Facebook page where people can report lost and found animals.

POLOKWANE – Her love for animals was the reason why Adele Heinlein created a Facebook page where people can report lost and found animals.

Called, “Lostandfoundlittlefriends”, the page was created about two weeks ago and already has 68 likes.

There were already happy endings for two dogs since the page’s creation.

One of the dogs was allegedly being abused by its owner. Someone witnessed this and bought the dog from the owner.

The Samaritan then posted on the “Lostandfoundlittlefriends” page and somebody else adopted the dog.

Somebody also reported a dog wandering around on its own at the Tom Naudé dam. Heinlein and residents in the area searched for the dog and when they found it, Heinlein took the dog home to wash and feed it and thereafter posted on the Facebook page for someone to adopt it.

Not long after the post, the dog found a new owner.

“The reason why I decided to create this page, is because I found a lot of lost animals, but could not find their owners. This motivated me to create the page. Pietersburg Dierekliniek, Wolkberg Dierekliniek, Hound Dogs Pet Parlour and Woofles Doggy Parlour support the page by referring people to the page when missing animals are reported or lost animals are found.

“Limpopo Structure also agreed to sponsor the page’s marketing with fridge magnates that we can distribute,” Heinlein said.

For more information, residents can send an e-mail to Heinlein at adeleheinlein@gmail.com, call her at 079 900 5307 or visit the Facebook page “Lostandfoundlittlefriends”.
