Godfrey’s design could change Lim
"I APPEAL to people to help me with sponsorship because without help there is nothing I can do to achieve my dreams."
“I APPEAL to people to help me with sponsorship because without help there is nothing I can do to achieve my dreams.”
This is the plea from a young designer, Godfrey Lesiba Teffo (22) from Westenburg.
Teffo is the designer of a power station called Tablo, which uses a sophisticated battery to generate power.
“I started to design the power station in February and it took me six months to complete it. The power station will help rural communities when there is a shortage of electricity and it will also assist mining companies by supplying them with electricity. I don’t have a lot of engineering knowledge, and what I do know, I taught myself.”
He appeals to the community to help him with material to build the power station.
“I have always dreamt of owning a successful engineering company,” he says.
He told Express that this kind of electricity will be cheap.
“Through this power station, we can show that there are talented designers in the country. All they need is funding. The country depends on natural resources, which vanish. Tablo power station can be situated in any area near a city or where there is a high demand of electricity.”
Anyone willing to assist Teffo can contact him at 072 080 9654.
