BEING confined to the house is a thing of the past for Martha Pilusa (79) from Ga-Mogowa village in Ga-Mothapo thanks to the DA, who donated a wheelchair to her last Wednesday.
According to Martha’s daughter, Rosina, her mother has been confined to the house for the past five years.
“My mother suffered a stroke some years back and and we are grateful for what the DA has done for her.
“She will now be able to see the sunshine. I hope my mother will be better now after receiving the wheelchair as we used to struggle to get her to the social grants pay point,” said Rosina.
DA councillor Ngako Setjie, said: “it is my duty as a councillor to expose the failures of the ruling government and put them under pressure to accelerate services to the people.
“I am proud to give back to deprived communities, and we will continue to assist those who are less privileged. This is not the only initiative, we are still identifying other people who are in need as we believe in ploughing back to communities”.
