UPDATE:Mamabolo on the mend in hospital

Boy Mamabolo, who was wounded on September 13 at Waterland during a shooting incident, is still recovering in hospital.
According to Mediclinic Limpopo client services manager, Istha McMillan, Mamabolo, who is the chairperson of the ANC Milo Malatji branch, was responding well to treatment.
“He is not in the intensive care unit anymore, but in a general ward, and he is doing very well,” she said. Mamabolo had to undergo an operation following his admission to the hospital. Three other men were also wounded during the incident, albeit their injuries were less serious.
Jacob Lebogo, a former provincial secretary of the ANCYL, was arrested in connection with the shooting and appeared before the Polokwane magistrate’s court on the Tuesday following the incident after handing himself over to the police. Lebogo handed his firearm over to the police, and indicated that he would plead not guilty at his trial. He appeared again on Thursday, September 18 for a bail application and was released on bail of R5 000. Lebogo is due to appear before the Polokwane magistrate’s court again on November 14.
