Schools look out for each other

Westenburg Secondary School donated a number of exercise books to Good Hope Primary School last Tuesday.

POLOKWANE – Westenburg Secondary School donated a number of exercise books to Good Hope Primary School last Tuesday.

Besides the exercise books, the school also received a variety of other stationery and art supplies which included paint brushes and paint.

Westenburg Secondary School acting principal, Jimmy Steele, said the exercise books were found in a locked storeroom in one of the classrooms at the school.

“We decided to donate the books suitable for primary school learners, as well as the stationery, to our neighbouring primary schools. Good Hope Primary School and Nirvana Primary School will be recipients. We also have some textbooks that must be sorted out before being donated,” Steele explained.

Good Hope Primary School principal, Cindy Buys, thanked Steele, the Westenburg Secondary School management team and the school governing body for the donation.

“We appreciate the donation, it really comes in handy and we will put it to good use,” Buys said.
