THE man accused of killing a woman in her home in January last year was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment by the Mokopane regional court last Friday.

Solly Tsheka Maile (21) was convicted for the murder of Naseerah Ismail (23) in her home in a security complex in Bezuidenhout Street.

Maile, who lived in the same complex, broke into Ismail’s home and a scuffle ensued between the two.

She was stabbed to death and her lifeless body was found by her husband.

Maile was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for murder and three years on a charge of theft.

The sentences will run concurrently.
