POLOKWANE – The man who failed to pay the guest house he used their R14 000 bill, and also supplied a fake payment advice of R9 000 to Northern Media Group (NMG), has again failed to honour his promises.
Last week, Review reported on a man, known as Alfred Malebe, who failed to pay both the guest house and NMG the money he owed.
At the guest house, he allegedly told them to send the bill to Review’s sister publication, Capricorn Voice to be settled, as he worked for this publication.
The report also stated that criminal cases had been opened against Malebe.
Following the publishing of this article, Mabebe reportedly contacted the owner of the guest house and offered to pay her if she withdrew the criminal case.
The owner of the guest house said she would consider withdrawing the case if she was sure the money was paid into her account.
He however did not pay, and on Monday offered to pay R3 500, which was also not paid into the account by Wednesday.
He also contacted the production manager at NMG, asking how she could “put him in the newspaper” as this could damage his business.
He offered to pay and asked her to help him.
Malebe last year printed a newspaper at NMG, the Capricorn Mail.
