LOUIS TRICHARDT – Last Friday, 17 brave men gathered at the Louis Trichardt Bowling Club to take part in a charity race with a difference.
Six towns hosted the first annual Cansa Relay For Life Daredevil Runs in South Africa to raise money for Cansa this year. They are George, Bloemfontein, Bethlehem, Durban, Nelspruit and Louis Trichardt.
The race was organised by the Louis Trichardt Cansa Relay For Life management committee.
The men who took part in the Daredevil Run ran through town dressed only in small competition-style swimwear and running shoes.
Laughter could be heard from the changing rooms where the men changed into their Daredevil outfits and a ripple of laughter went through the spectators when they finally stepped out of the changing rooms, ready for the run of a lifetime.
The men braved the stares and laughter as they ran a winding route through town in only their tiny swimwear and running shoes, showing their commitment to Cansa.
