MOKOPANE – THE 42 year-old Constable Malesela Stanley Mokonyana was robbed and stabbed to death, on February 27, by two men.
According to a media statement by Capt Steve Mabuza, from the Mahwelereng police station, Mokonyana was stabbed six times before the suspects took off with his cellphone and other valuables.
Mabuza stated that the suspects have been arrested and the stolen goods recovered. The suspects will appear in the Thohoyandou magistrates court on Thursday, March 12. Mokonyana funeral was held last Friday in Mzombane village. “Our condolences to the family and relatives of constable Mokonyana, may his soul rest in peace,” said Capt Mabuza.
