THOHOYANDOU – JAMES Ragwala, the father of former Muvhango star, Joe Ragwala, is out on warning after he appeared before the Thohoyandou magistrate’s court on Monday.

His co-accused, his daughter, Joyce (43) and another relative, Tintswalo Mihlori (46) were granted R2 000 bail each.

The court appearance comes after the three were implicated in a conspiracy to murder Thohoyandou businessman, Goddard Mugwena.

Mugwena’s wife, Doris Mthembi is currently serving 10 years for perjury while the two would-be hitmen who were hired to murder Mugwena, are serving two years in jail each for conspiracy to murder.

During the court case, it was alleged that Mthembi was having an affair with the Muvhango star.

The two would-be hitmen, Vincent Phakhula and Moses Ntsenene, implicated Ragwala (snr), Joyce and Mihlori in the conspiracy.

Magistrate Richard Mathobo postponed the case and the three suspects will appear before the Sibasa regional court on April 7.
