MOKOPANE – A WELL known taxi owner was declared dead after being shot at his house in Fourie Street on Friday evening.
The 56-year-old Sello Gideon Fatane was shot three times, once in the head and twice in the neck, in front of his verandah at his house when the Mokopane police found him and summoned the emergency services to the scene.
The emergency services declared him dead on arrival, reported Const Mmadikgale Masingi, spokesperson for the Mokopane police station, in a media statement.
According to Masingi, an investigation is ongoing and a case of murder has been opened.
