Mercurius the nr 1 dealership in SA

Brits said the cherry on the cake was the final award: that of Mercedes-Benz dealer of the year - market centre

POLOKWANE – Mercurius Motors Polokwane Commercial is riding a wave of success after the dealership won three top awards at the national Mercedes-Benz Cars and Commercial Vehicles annual awards event that took place in Cape Town from March 13 to 15.

Since moving into its state-of-the-art premises in Industria three years ago, Mercurius Motors Polokwane Commercial has become a force to be reckoned with.

Part of the Imperial Group South Africa, the company falls under the Mercedes-Benz East Rand division, with dealer principal Japie Brits at the helm for the past two years with a dedicated, passionate team behind him.

The national Mercedes-Benz Cars and Commercial Vehicles awards take place annually to give recognition to dealerships and personnel for their dedication and professional workmanship, as well as the successes they achieve on a daily basis.

This was where Mercurius Motors Polokwane Commercial stood head above shoulders over the other – approximately 56 – branches this year.

The first award was for the best sales of new Mercedes-Benz trucks with the second award being best customer service on commercial brands.

Brits said the cherry on the cake was the final award, which was received on the final day: that of Mercedes-Benz dealer of the year – market centre.

Brits hails from Johannesburg and established himself in Polokwane in 2001. He has been part of the Imperial Group for the past 24 years.

He started his career as a qualified diesel mechanic in the truck industry, and steadily climbed his way to the top.

“All these achievements would not have been possible on my own. I would like to say a special thank you to Sherien Schutte, Ian McDonald, my superior at Mercedes-Benz East Rand dealership, Paul Jooste, our legal advisor, Chris Marlow and of course my team, at Mercurius Motors Polokwane Commercial, the best in South Africa.

“If it was not for the team and its leaders’ devotion, passion and commitment, we would not have these awards.

“I would also like to dedicate these achievements to our loyal customers as without them this would not have been possible,” Brits said.

Besides being an authorised Mercedes-Benz Commercial dealer, Mercurius Motors Polokwane Commercial is also a dealer for the Fuso and Freightliner brands.

Mercurius Motors Polokwane Commercial boasts a fully equipped workshop and spares department and specialises in the sale and servicing of vehicles, customised vehicle finance and insurance solutions, extended maintenance and warranty covers, original parts sales as well as comprehensive fleet solutions.

“We also follow the latest environmental regulations and focus a lot on energy- and water-saving methods,” Brits added.
