
LIMPOPO – A man was arrested in village near Polokwane on Monday for alleged human trafficking, Limpopo police said.
According to spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the 27-year-old foreigner allegedly brought 19 men, all foreign nationals, across the border into South Africa and locked them in a storeroom.
Lebwaba said after receiving a tip off, the police went to the spaza shop store room and found the 19 foreigners.
The country of origin of the suspect together with that of the 19 men is still to be confirmed.
The 27-year-old will soon appear in the Mankweng Magistrates Court.
