Students quench their creative thirst

UNIVERSITY of Limpopo students showed off their creative sides during the Sprite Uncontainable talent search last Tuesday.

LIMPOPO – UNIVERSITY of Limpopo students showed off their creative sides during the Sprite Uncontainable talent search last Tuesday.

The talent search sought to find the best hip hop emcees, graffiti artists and hip hop dancers.

Thembi Mtiya, Eclipse Public Relations account manger, which organised the talent search, said: “the sole purpose was to find fresh talent in the hip hop space. We want to mentor them. As one of the most visible brands supporting hip hop, Sprite is excited to offer the community yet another opportunity to showcase their talents and let their voices be heard. Sprite prides itself in contributing to the hip hop culture and helping the coolest talents to quench their creative thirst”.

Mtiya said winners stood a chance to win not only bragging rights, but the opportunity to be mentored by experts in their fields.

Cindy Seloane, a graffiti artist who competed in the talent search, said the competition allowed the contestants to be creative.

“Most people were able to showcase their talents. I am quite sure I will make it to the finals because I pay attention to detail,” said Seloane.
