LIMPOPO – THE Aganang municipality commemorated the youth month with the official launch of a vibrant youth structure, See Beyond the Clouds Foundation (SBCF) at municipal hall, Moletjie, on Saturday.

According to the SBCF CEO, Kgadi Mmanakana, the structure aims to champion youth programmes and empowerment seminars. “The SBCF will offer four programmes to the youth in rural areas of Aganang municipality which will equip them with the skills and knowledge to enter the competitive market for opportunities. “The programmes to be offered by the organisation include mentorship, ICT programmes, entrepreneurship advisory services and career guidance,” said Mmanakana.

Mmanakana further said the launch of the organisation will mark the beginning of providing access to information and available opportunities to the disadvantaged youth in Aganang municipality. “We will be a vehicle of disseminating information that will sharpen the future of our youth and encourage youth involvement in programmes that will benefit and empower their careers,” she said.

Aganang mayor, Maria Mokobodi, said the launching of the SBCF structure is an indication that Aganang youth is following the footsteps of 1976 youth and the municipality is ready to provide support throughout to youth activities.

“As the municipality, we appreciate the steps taken by Aganang youth to be an umbrella body for youth development organisations in Aganang. We are calling upon the SBCF members to work hard towards their structure,” said Mokobodi.

Department of social development and the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) shared information which will unlock doors for Aganang youth to explore opportunities available to them despite their limited resources and disadvantaged backgrounds.
