2 Malamulele escapees get 10 yrs

Two of the three escapees who escaped outside Malamulele magistrates court last week were sentenced to 10 years imprisonment in court yesterday, 30 June.

LIMPOPO – Two of the three escapees who escaped outside Malamulele magistrates court last week were sentenced to 10 years imprisonment in court on Tuesday.

The two suspects were one of the five escapees who initially escaped in a state vehicle after overpowering two police officials.

Lucas Siweya (29) and Emmanuel Simago (27) were charged with escaping lawful custody and sentenced without an option of paying a fine. Cliff Sithole (24) was previously remanded in custody for his verdict to be passed at Malamulele magistrates court.
Madala Mhlongo (30) is still being tracked.
