Team members of KFC Polokwane arrived at Lethlanthene Drop-in Centre in Blood River early on Friday morning to assist with the building of a swing that will be the start of a playground for learners who visit the centre.
On Saturday tyres were planted to round-off the playground and to add a colourful and inviting atmosphere.
The steel for the swing was sponsored by NTY Steel Works and staff members of NTY, Phillip Putter and Dean Russell delivered the swing on site and assembled it.
The tyres were sponsored by Tiger Wheel & Tyre next to Savannah Centre.
Cheray van Blerk, KFC Local Store Marketing Manager, said that Lethlanthene Drop-in Centre is a beneficiary of KFC’s Add Hope Initiative and that the playground project is their contribution towards the 67 Minutes for Mandela celebrations. This will be an on-going project.
