Review journalists Raeesa Kimmie and Maretha Swanepoel (behind the camera) took the 15min heat test. This test was to emphasise the heat within a car parked in the sun. Lucky for them the temperatures were not as hot as we experienced last week although the car parked under a shade net at the work place registered the inside temperature of 27°c . For safety purposes EMS personnel Dawie Jacobs as well as David Dennison (Manager) stood by. Before the test started and after the 15min were up Jacobs tested Raeesa’s blood pressure, heart and respiration rate. (Read more on symptoms of heat stroke or heat exhaustion)

Results before the heat test:

Heart rate: 100 (she was a bit nervous, not sure what to expect)

Blood pressure 120/80

respiration rate: 24

After the heat test, the results were significantly different:

Heart rate: 140

Blood pressure 140/100

respiration rate: 30

No journalist was harmed in the making of this movie.
