Beat the heat, municipal swimming pools are open

Cool down this summer at one of the municipal swimming pools

POLOKWANE –  Cool down this summer at one of the municipal swimming pools.

To enjoy a splash in one of the public swimming pools, residents can pay R11 per session or buy a season ticket, which costs R268. This ticket is valid from 1 September until 30 April next year.

The Polokwane municipal pool opened two weeks after the official swimming season started ( 1 September), while the Westenburg swimming pool opened last Saturday.

“When the pool opened at last, I was very happy, because now our children can go to the swimming pool to have fun and cool off”  – Westenburg parent

Bad news for Nirvana! Nirvana swimming pool is still closed.  But according to a municipal spokesperson, Matshidiso Mothapo,  they are working on the problem and hope to open the pool soon.

“We are still experiencing some challenges at the Nirvana pool.  We apologise for any inconvenience caused,” says Mothapo.

How have you experienced the municipal pools this season, let us know.
