POLOKWANE – Young models around Polokwane and Seshego are urged to come and participate in the first annual crowning of the King and Queen of Seshego 2016.
According to Koketso Nkwana from Nouzhead Movement Agency, models interested in competing in the event, which will be held at Seshego Centre circle in March, are advised to complete the registration forms on the registration days, which will be on 9, 16 and 23 January at the Seshego Centre circle.
Koketso, who is from Emdo in Polokwane, is one of the finalists who will travel to New York, US next year in July to compete in the Art International Showcase after being selected at the Summer Heat and Just You Art International Showcase which was held in Johannesburg, Gauteng last year.
She was scouted by Kim Myers from New York in October last year at the Silver Star Casino in Johannesburg, Gauteng, where she was modelling for Nouzhead.
Koketso started her modelling career in 2005 when she was seven years old after she was inspired by her role model, Bonang Matheba.
“This event will serve as a fundraiser, giving to charity and exposing the talents of Polokwane and Seshego youth.
“It will also serve as a way to empower and pave a good way for the youth through coaching and grooming.
“We do this to uplift the people of Polokwane, especially the teenagers, and show them it is possible for young people who hail from rural areas to be Miss South Africa. We urge the youth not to hide their modelling talents but showcase them as this can pave their future to success.
“With so many talents around us, we are going to work hard every day to ensure we show the whole province that Polokwane’s youngsters have talent,” Koketso said.
For more information contact Koketso at 072 792 4763 or 084 489 2610 and those interested can also register on the Nouzhead Facebook page or send an e-mail to nouzheadplk@yahoo.com.
