The department of water and sanitation in partnership with the provincial department of education re-launched the 2020 Vision for Water and Sanitation Programme at the Nirvana Hall on Friday.

POLOKWANE – This is a programme aimed at saving water, and schools have to come up with innovative ideas on how to save water, with the winners receiving prize money for themselves and their schools.

District management and two representatives from all primary and secondary schools in the province were invited to the event. Winners from last year also performed at the event.

Tebogo Mamabolo one of three learners from Taxila Secondary School who represented South Africa at the Stockholm Junior Water Prize award ceremony in 2014 spoke at the re-launch.

Other performers included Mabatho Selahle and Judy Mkhawale from Mokgabudi Primary School and Lesego Sekgala from Baropdi Primary School.
