National Children’s Theatre entertains local learners
The National Children’s Theatre were at Mitchell House on Wednesday evening to stage a shortened version of the Shakespearean play Coriolanus.
POLOKWANE – The National Children’s Theatre was at Mitchell House on Wednesday evening to stage a shortened version of the Shakespearean play, Coriolanus.
Coriolanus was one of the two last tragedies written by William Shakespeare and is based on the legendary life of Roman leader, Caius Marcius. Coriolanus in a tale of betrayal, vengeance and pride.

Mitchell House’s college learners were joined by learners from Curro Heuwelkruin, Eagle’s Nest Christian School, Jabez Christian Academy, Mokopane English Combined School and several others. Learners said they thoroughly enjoyed the play as it was full of suspense. It was interactive and the acting was brilliant.
Coriolanus is Mitchell House’s set-work for the current and next year’s Gr. 12 learners. The play provided insightful and useful understanding into the book for the learners.
