Tommies serve Spur patrons to raise funds for rugby tour

Yesterday evening Tom Naude's under 16 rugby team waited on patrons at the Amarillo Spur at Mall of the North to raise funds for their upcoming tour to Potchefstroom.

POLOKWANE – Captain Jandre Visagie said that the team are leaving for Potch on 20 March and were at Spur to make as much money as they could for the tour.

Manager Louis Wolmarans says that Spur have a sponsorship program which allows schools to come and wait at the restaurant and raise funds. “It’s not only a community initiative and a way for them to get involved but it also gives the learners an opportunity to gain experience in the hospitality industry.” He said that they welcome the learners and it’s a chance for them to give back to the community.
