Local math whizzes excel in national competition

Two CMaths learners excelled in the 10th A+ Students National Competition recently.

POLOKWANE – The competition tests learners’ math capabilities.

Hancu Moolman aced the competition and secured a first place win with Edrich hot on his heels in second place.

The A+ Students competition presented by CMaths gives children the opportunity to learn maths in a fun way.

 

CMaths focuses on six developmental areas and goals:

• Play – Learning starts with playing to sharpen imagination and memory power and boost creativity.

•Learning window – CMaths optimises on the learning window period of age one to six.

• Sensory learning – Gross and fine motor skills, audio and visual perception, sequencing completion and spatial orientation.

• Self – To boost self-confidence, sense of achievement, emotional development and social skills, relationships, self-awareness and expression.

• Whole brain – Japanese Soroban whole brain training, develops both left and right hemispheres and encourages thinking spatially and visually about numbers.

• Intelligence – Cultivate and improve intelligence and problem solving capabilities.
