The EFF is ready to deliver – Malema
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Leader, Julius Malema, has promised Mankweng residents that his party is ready to better their lives
LIMPOPO – Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Leader, Julius Malema, has promised Mankweng residents that his party is ready to better their lives and to improve services and create jobs for everyone if the EFF is elected in the coming local municipal elections.
Addressing supporters in Unit C Park in Mankweng last Thursday in preparation for the party’s upcoming Tshela Thupa rally campaign, Malema said we are all equal and we should all receive quality services.
He said his party plans to better South Africa for all citizens by giving them free water and electricity and no more “matchbox-shaped” RDP houses.
They plan to make education available to everyone, regardless of whether they are from a poor or privileged background.
“A child from a poor background should not be treated differently than a child from a more privileged background because they are both human beings.
“Now is the time for us to ensure the days when a dog from a rich family eats better than a child from a poor family come to an end.
“The EFF is the people’s party and we will keep fighting for our people to ensure that everyone enjoys the fruits of economic freedom. We cannot say our people are living in a democratic country if they still have to use outside toilets and live in dilapidated houses,” Malema said.
He said if his party wins the elections, the social grants for older people and children will be doubled because the cost of living rises constantly; why should’nt their grants.
“We have noticed a large number of girls dropping out of school because they cannot afford sanitary products. The EFF plans to help these girls by distributing free sanitary towels in schools and universities so these girls no longer need to miss classes and eventually drop out because of something they have no control over,” he explained.
Malema added that the EFF plans to make all health clinics operational for 24 hours a day because “people do not only get sick during the day”.
“We also plan to turn the president’s Nkandla homestead in Kwa-Zulu Natal into a school of agriculture so it can benefit the youth of South Africa. The EFF has the ability to change South Africa for the better if we are elected,” Malema said.
EFF ward 25 Candidate, Piet Mothiba, said they will pull up their socks and ensure the services get to the people in rural and urban areas rather than always narrating the history of the country.
