Pick n Pay Mall of the North was a hub of activity last Friday when the store held a re-launch of their services.
Store Manager Monty Manthata explained the action as a clean-up with the purpose of giving the shop a fresh look. Shelves have been rearranged and goods moved to make it more accessible and display certain products more prominently.
“The re-launched was just to get back the excitement and get back to basics again. We want to show our customers that we are still customer-orientated and eager to assist. Feedback from customers is always welcome and we gladly respond to it. One can buy baked beans anywhere, but in our stores we also give quality service with a smile.”
A prize or two were also awaiting some lucky customers visiting the store during the day.
The store comprises 137 staff members or 150 if merchandisers are included. Facilities for mothers to breastfeed their babies as well as a toilet for paraplegics are available at the shop.
Regional Manager Henry Maluleke and General Manager, Nuno Pirez visisted the store to lend their support to the effort. Pietersburg Comprehensive School drum majorettes showed moves while learners from Smart Kids Pre-school rendered songs and a poem and participated in a colouring competition of the Super Animals currently available in Pick n Pay outlets.
