Mboya Shai and her management team on Friday celebrated the opening of her tenth PostNet store in Limpopo and Gauteng at the Elegant Fuel Complex with a beautiful cake and a lot of merriment.
Situated on the corner of Marshall and Webster streets with ample parking for customers, the PostNet Petrostop store is easily accessible and very convenient.
It boasts the new look PostNet décor and modern design with an airy and well-lit interior, making it welcoming to all customers.
Shai now owns six PostNet stores in Polokwane, two in Mankweng, one in Bela-Bela and one in Sunnyside, Pretoria. What started with one store in Sovenga, Mankweng in 1999, have now grown into an empire that sets the tone for upcoming entrepreneurs in Limpopo.
Shai said this milestone in her career could only be reached with the help of her employees and family and thanked everyone present for their continued support and hard work.
Her daughter, Shoko Simango says her mother has been an entrepreneur for as long as she could remember. “My mother used to be the Head of Department for physical education at the Giyani College before she opened her first PostNet store, but even then she was always looking at ways to make extra money. She arranged flowers, sold items like concentrated juice from home, handled a lot of catering and also had a lot of success as events manager.”
She also commented on her mother’s devotion to her two children, Shoko and Sakkie Simango. “We are a very close family and I could not have asked for a better mother,” she said, adding that it was a pleasure to be actively involved in her mother’s business.
“Not only is she a great mother, she is also a very fair and reasonable employer,” she says. The PostNet Petrostop store offers a wide range of personal and business related services including courier services, access to the internet including fax and email services, and in-store computers that the public can use.
The store also sells stationery at affordable prices. “Why not plan ahead, place an order weekly or monthly and we will deliver to your office,” Simango said at the opening.
“We pride ourselves in quality products and customer service. Your copy or print job will be handled professionally by one of our efficient and friendly staff. We offer a wide variety of copying and printing options including black and white, full colour, wide format, single or double sided, low volume or bulk, in a variety of sizes from as small as A6 to as large as A0. We can also offer litho printing when needed,” Shai said.
PostNet Courier offers a comprehensive range of domestic and international courier products and services to a large number of diverse organisations in the South African business market. Through a large network of over 300 owner operated retail stores and carefully selected strategic partners, PostNet is able to offer top quality courier services.
