Molemole muni receives clean admin award

According to Paya, this is the first time the municipality has received such a good report, having achieved countless disclaimers in past financial years.

MOLEMOLE – The Molemole Municipality received a clean administration award for an improved 2014/15 unqualified audit outcome at a Chartered Institute of Governance Finance and Audit and Risk Officers (CIGFARO) annual conference at the Chief Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre recently.

Mayor, Edward Paya, says they are going to work hard as a municipality to ensure that proper services are delivered to their people as promised.

According to Paya, this is the first time the municipality has received such a good report, having achieved countless disclaimers in past financial years. However, much improvement has been made since then, which saw the municipality achieving a qualified opinion in the 2012/13 financial year and now unqualified in the 2014/15 year.

He says the municipality is happy with all the support from its Magoshi and other stakeholders but most importantly, community members who always give them constructive criticism at mayoral imbizos.

“Without our people we are nothing. We are still going to have several mayoral imbizos where we are going to engage our people as this helps us to find out what is needed and not within our communities. We are a municipality which always needs to see changes and developments within its people,” he says proudly.

Molemole Mayor Edward Paya, promises that service delivery will take place.
