RAF launches customer awareness campaign

The campaign forms part of government’s commitment to cover, compensate and rehabilitate all those who are injured on our roads

In reaction to the staggering number of accidents on national roads over the past few months, the Road Accident Fund (RAF), an award winning company for service excellence, have embarked on a customer service awareness drive taking place across the country.
Underpinned by a new service charter, RAF has reaffirmed its commitment to provide vehicle accident victims, their dependents and families, with high quality service against tightly measured standards.
According to RAF Chief Operations Officer, Lindelwa Jabavu, the charter also provides employees with clear principles to strive for in service excellence in order to achieve the RAF’s vision, mission and values as identified in its corporate strategic plan. She says during the two weeks and beyond, the caring arm of government will continue encouraging claimants to interact directly with the RAF in order to avoid the pitfalls associated with paying intermediaries’ fees.
“RAF aims to execute its duties with extra dedication and fortitude while pursuing excellence across the business. All this forms part of government’s commitment to cover, compensate and rehabilitate all those who are injured on our roads,” says Jabavu.
She further says RAF’s new brand of service delivery has transformed the RAF in the last four years from a public entity fraught with negativity, to one that provides the highest standard of care efficiently to those who are injured or killed in motor vehicle accidents, including their families.
“Notwithstanding the financial challenges it faces, the RAF will continue delivering on its mandate of providing compulsory cover to all users of South Africa’s roads, citizens and foreigners alike, against injuries sustained or death arising from accidents involving motor vehicles within our country’s borders,” she says.
