Festive lights, fireworks on display

The city of Polokwane will be hosting the annual festive lights ceremony this evening as a way to welcome the festive season.

POLOKWANE – This will be held this evening ( Friday 9 December) at Flora Park Dam where executive mayor, Thembi Nkadimeng will deliver a festive season message to the members of the public.
Nkadimeng will also be tasked with switching on the festive lights.

This year’s festive light will offer residents a variety of musical performances, fireworks displays and entertainments. Residents are urged to bring along their camp chairs for an evening of fun for the whole family.

The mayor, Cllr Nkadimeng will switch on the festive lights around 19:30 and this will be followed up by a colourful display of fireworks. The event is scheduled from 17:00 to 22:00.

“Residents in and around the vicinity are requested to keep their pets safe during this period.”
