Provincial gov given 14 days to respond to Sadtu demands
Sadtu leaders emphasised that they will shut down all schools and businesses if the local gov fails to respond positively to their demands

POLOKWANE – South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU) members painted the city red as they marched to various departments and the Premier’s Office to hand over the memorandum of grievances, today (Thursday).
Sadtu was supported by other public unions such as National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union (NEHAWU) and the Congress of South African Students (COSAS), among others.

The crowd made their first stop at the Department of Education and progressed to the Department of Treasury and the Premier’s Office.

All the visited departments were given 14 days to respond to the memorandum and Sadtu leaders made it clear that if the local government fails to respond positively to their demands, they will shut down all schools and businesses in the province.
