32 suspects arrested by Lim SAPS during clean up operations

Limpopo SAPS continue fighting crime in the province with their sole objective of demolishing all crime hotspots.

LIMPOPO – In Mokopane outside Polokwane, nine suspects (aged between 27 and 38-years-old) were arrested for possession dagga and parcels of dagga with the estimated street value of R8700 were recovered.

In Makhado, outside Thohoyandou, six suspects (aged between 22 and 34-years-old) were arrested for a series of house breaking and theft incidents and the following items were recovered:

– 22 sachets, 22 envelopes and a plastic bag of dagga weighing 0.772g valued R15 000.

– Various electric appliances.

Meanwhile, in the Seshego cluster, five suspects (aged between 24 and 33-years-old) were arrested for possession of stolen copper cables and an unlicensed firearms. The following were recovered:

– 39kg of burnt copper with the estimated street value of R3500

– One firearm and ammunition.

Simultaneously, in the Thohoyandou Cluster, two suspects (aged 22 and 25-years-old) were arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm.

Police spokesperson Lt Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe says one police firearm, 15 live rounds, one magazine and a holster were recovered.

Ngoepe says two suspects (aged 31 and 43-years-old) were arrested in the Groblersdal Cluster for possession of dagga and the following items were recovered:

– 15.38kg of dagga with an estimated street value of R50 000.

– 0,282 kg of dagga with the estimated street value of R1300.

In addition, eight suspects were arrested in Giyani and Tzaneen with two plastic bags of dagga (valued at R3 000) and 18 plastic bags of dagga (valued at R2500) respectively recovered:

Ngoepe says the suspects will appear before different Magistrate Court soon and police investigations are continuing.
