Muni working on fixing power outage in Ivy Park

Residents in the affected area are advised to switch off all electrical appliances to avoid damages while technicians work to restore power

POLOKWANE – Municipal technicians are working on restoring electricity to parts of Ivy Park after two cable faults were picked up along the ring lines in the area.

According to a statement issued by the Polokwane Municipality, technicians are currently connecting the area to a different feeder line while repairing the faults on the affected area’s feeder system.

“It took  time to locate the second fault on the line hence the lengthy downtime, however, the technicians will do whatever possible to ensure power is restored as soon as possible,” reads the statement.

The municipality has advised residents to switch off all electrical appliances to avoid damages during the repairs.
