Shoprite, in conjunction with Age-in-Action has called upon its customers to put their creative talents to work in the 14th annual Pretty Things for Little Things campaign in which much needed toys and clothes can be crafted for children in disadvantaged communities.
According to a media statement released by the company, the competition consists of several categories namely soft toys, blankets, clothing and other, which includes articles made from materials such as wood, tin or wire.
The entries are now open and items can be entered at any Shoprite store in South Africa, or at the Age-in-Action regional offices located at 43A Hoog Street Polokwane. Entries will close on Thursday 21 August.
The media release further stated that three winners in each category will be selected in each province and nationally. The provincial winners will each receive vouchers to the value of R2 000 for first place, R1 500 for second place and R1 000 for third place. On national level, the winners will receive R5 000 for first place, R3 000 for second place and R2 000 for third place. The vouchers can be used at any Shoprite store nationwide.
The Pretty Things for Little Things campaign is part of Shoprite’s #ActForChange initiative, an ongoing commitment to giving back to local communities in which the company operates.
