As part of their 15th annual Art-at-Heart campaign, Cashbuild assisted eight schools in the Jane Furse community to upgrade their facilities by awarding each R15 000 in building material vouchers during the recent opening of their Jane Furse branch.
This follows a similar campaign during their Polokwane store opening in May where eight schools in the Polokwane community received building material vouchers after entering artwork into the Art-at-Heart competition.
The winning learners and schools were Mokganyetsi Phlaphlamohlaka of Letsiri Primary School, Mduduzi Mnguni (Marota Makgane Primary School), Vanessa Matlala (Bafedi Primary School), Tumelo Sekele (Madibong English Medium Primary School), Mamushi Mahlasedi (Kalafong Primary School), Amogelang Kgolane (Marotobale Primary School), Tshegofatso Malata (Kopanong Primary School) and Vinolia Kgaditsi of Sekale Primary School.
Collen Manchidi from Letsiri Primary won the Manager’s Choice Award which entitled him to a stationery pack and glass trophy. Collen also officially opened the store.
The Art-at-Heart competition entails learners submitting their best artwork to the company. The artwork is then displayed at the ceremony and remains on display in the store for the next six years.
