Freemasonry, at a glance

The Freemasons are the oldest fraternal orgnisation in the world and was founded in Lindon, England in 1717.

MOKOPANE – The Freemasonry turned 300 years old this year and in celebration on this amazing achievement, the Unanimity Lodge Mokopane held an open day on 29 July where members of the public had the chance to take a peek inside.

The dove symbolises peace in Freemasonry.

According to Gerald Bosch, Senior Warden, the day was a success and about 40 people joined the day to learn more about Freemasonry.

The seat of the Senior Warden, Gerald Bosch, must at all times be neatly presented.

Its current worldwide membership totals up to 6 million people.

The sword used to protect the occupants while meetings were held years ago are still symbolically used today.

Bosch thanks everyone on behalf of the lodge who joined them and giving them a chance to tell their story.

Gerald Bosch (Senior Warden) and At Topham (Director of Ceremonies) are proud to be Masons.

“Through the Freemasons, every man will grow to reach his full potential and grow into a man who has character and integrity,” said Pierre Visser, the Worshipful Master of the Uninamity Lodge who could unfortunately not join the day.
