Power outages hit parts of Polokwane after storm
Seshego, Nirvana, Westenburg and Ivydale are among the areas experiencing power outages after heavy rain and hail overnight, the municipality says.
POLOKWANE – Several areas in Polokwane are experiencing unplanned power outages following heavy rain and a hailstorm overnight, the Polokwane Municipality said today (August 11).

Suburbs affected by outages
Suburbs affected include Seshego, Nirvana, Westenburg and Ivydale.
Municipal Energy Services teams are attending to the affected areas and working to restore electricity as soon as possible.
Residents urged to report outages
Residents experiencing outages in other areas are urged to report these promptly so that the municipality can assess the extent of the problem and dispatch response teams where necessary.
Outages can be reported to Energy Services on 015 290 2490, the Municipal Call Centre on 015 290 2000, or via the MyPolokwane Citizen App.
The municipality has apologised for the inconvenience and thanked residents for their patience as restoration efforts continue.
