Siyakha 1 are looking for 2018 bursary applicants

The bursary trust are searching for academically strong, but financially stricken learners in the community.

POLOKWANE – With most applications for tertiary studies already over, many prospective students are now looking for funding for their studies and the Siyakha 1 Education Trust are encouraging prospective students to apply for a 2018 bursary.

The Trust embarks on relevant and sustainable educational projects across rural South Africa.

It describes itself as an “academic investor’, passionate about empowering, supporting and uplifting the diversity of our communities.”

They also look to have proactive investment in the future of the youth, by helping to address educational and career issues with a fresh and innovative approach.

Here is how you can apply for their 2018 bursary:

  1. Applicants must be South African citizens with a valid ID number
  2. Bursaries are only awarded for full-time university studies towards an academic degree
  3. Applicants must be registered at a university and have a valid student number, before applying to the Siyakha Bursary Fund
  4. Applicants with an existing bursary for tertiary studies, will not be considered
  5. Incomplete or illegible application forms and / or supporting documents will not be considered
  6. The closing date for the applications is 31 August before 5pm

The Siyakha 1 Education Trust Bursary will cover the following:

  • Full tuition (paid directly to the university per semester)
  • University registration fees and university residence registration fees
  • University residence or appropriate student accommodation
  • Text books, stationery and relevant equipment for the field of study
  • An allowance per month
  • Tutoring company will be sourced by the Siyakha 1 Education Trust
