POLOKWANE – Following concerns by readers regarding the condition the animals in the McLaren Circus are staying in, Review spoke to de Kock regarding the inspection that took place at the site.

“We were happy with what we saw when we went to the circus, however, an in depth inspection will still take place by myself or another SPCA inspector,” he told Review.

POLOKWANE – The McLaren Circus arrived in Polokwane on Monday where they began setting up for their first show on Wednesday, 6 August.

Review received several concerns on our Facebook page with readers saying they weren’t happy with animals being part of the show so we visited the site and spoke to the owner, David McLaren.

“We go there to make sure that the animals are well taken care of and we look at the size of the enclosures that the animals are in. We also look to see if the animals have enough water and food and if we are not happy, we then send our to concerns to the national SPCA who deal with the matter,” he explained.

De Kock ensured that he would inform Review of the outcome of the inspection which we in turn will inform our readers.
