Mitchell House receives rugby sponsorship

Mitchell House is ready to make rugby one of its major sport codes and will also involve surrounding schools in an exciting rugby development programme to be launched next year.
The first milestone was reached last Wednesday when Volkswagen/Audi Polokwane presented a one year’s sponsorship to the school at a ceremony in the city.
Mitchell House Headmaster Andrew Cook said Mitchell House appreciates the sponsorship and congratulated the Volkswagen/Audi management for the decisive manner in which they promoted the initiative. “Although rugby is a very social kind of game it can also be a vehicle to a career. Sport development is crucial if we want to be a successful country,” Cook reckoned and added that it is an honour for Mitchell House to partner with a business that aligns itself with the school’s desire for quality education and sport development.
Cook said the school is particularly proud to have Fred Romijn, recently appointed as Craven Week u.18 Forward Coach, as driver of the project.
In his motivation to support the application for sponsorship of the project, Romijn quoted an old proverb: “A vision without a plan is just a dream. A plan without a vision is just drudgery. But a vision with a plan can change the world.”
Audi General Manager Thembinkosi Pantsi said that rugby is one of the vehicles that may be used the transform the country towards unity and that it is indeed a honour to be a partner of Mitchell House.
