Suspect arrested for stabbing his family found hanging in his cell

No foul play is expected at this stage and a case of inquest has been open by police

LIMPOPO – According to police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, the suspect, 28-year-old Kenneth Netsiongani from the Khakhathi section of Dopeni village, was found hanging inside the cells of the Makhado Correctional Centre this morning, 12 December.

No foul play is suspected at this stage but a case of inquest was opened.

The deceased had appeared before the Waterval Magistrate’s Court on 6 December for murder and attempted murder where the case was postponed until 29 January 2018 for bail application and for further police investigations to take place.

The deceased’s son, who was killed, was identified as Andani Costarage Ngholele (5).
