Burgersfort: Tip off leads to the arrest of three in possession of copper

Police say they will continue to fight the battle against criminal activities around the province.

LIMPOPO – Police spokesperson Constable Mienkie Ramakgoakgoa says police received information about stolen copper wires and intensive investigations led to a shack at Makgemeng Village.

“Three men were found in possession of plastic bags full of copper wires and were immediately apprehended,” Ramakgoakgoa said.

The three suspects, between the ages of 22 and 56-years-old, appeared before the Praktiseer Magistrates Court on charges of possession of copper wire and were denied bail. Their case was postponed till 8 February 2018.

The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo, Lt.Gen Nneke Ledwaba has once again applauded the police for their sterling job done.

He urges communities to continue working together with police to sweep all criminal acts in our province.

Police investigations still continue.
