Aimee Theodore, Head of Programme Development at Round Square International situated in the UK spent the first week of term at Stanford Lake College (SLC). She observed the implementing of the Round Square Discovery Framework in the classroom as SLC is one of only a handful of schools worldwide piloting the curriculum.
The framework is built on six spirits: internationalism, democracy, environmentalism, adventure, leadership and service. Within these spirits are found the 12 discoveries which assist students with learning essential life skills such as a sense of responsibility, compassion, inquisitiveness, tenacity and the ability to solve problems.
