LIMPOPO – According to police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, the victim’s mother left her daughter to attend church at artound 11:00 am on Sunday, 4 February.
“When she returned home, at around 15:00, the victim complained about stomach cramps. The following day, a concerned neighbour summoned the victim’s parents to inform them about a suspected rape incident by a known man,” he explained.
The parents informed the police, who arrested the suspect and he appeared before court today.
Ngoepe says the suspect’s case has been postponed to Monday 19 February for police investigations to continue and for a formal bail application.
