Limpopo Department of Health warn of job scam

The department say there are fraudsters who are asking for money in exchange for a job at the department.

POLOWKANE – According to Neil Shikwambana, spokesperson for the department, the fraudsters collect lists in communities, claiming to be agents of the department of health and then request sums of money from job seekers.

“The department wishes to advise job seekers that jobs are not for sale at the department and at no stage should any person pay any amount of money to qualify for interviews. If at any stage, anyone comes across such offers, they must swiftly report these swindlers and imposters to the police,” he added.

Furthermore, the department are encouraging people to apply for advertised positions by following the methods stipulated on the relevant advertisement issued by the department.

“To appoint suitable candidates, the department will follow normal human resource processes. Communities are therefore warned against any imposter who might claim to be acting on behalf of the department,” he concluded.
