42% of Lim budget spent in five months
Here is a round up of what has been spent so far
POLOKWANE – The Executive Council has reported that the overall provincial expenditure stood at R27,2 billion, representing 41,6% of the allocated budget of R65,4 billion for the first five months of the 2018/19 financial year.

The compensation of employees recorded an expenditure of R19 billion, representing 41,4% of the allocated budget of R25,9 billion.
Other expenditure, as listed, stood as follows: Goods and services recorded an expenditure of R3,9 billion, representing 42,0% of the total budget of R 9,5 billion, transfers and subsidies expenditure, at R3,5 billion, represented 44,3% of the total budget of R7,8 billion while payment for capital assets recorded an expenditure of R708,9 million or 33,8% of the total budget of R2,1 billion.
Conditional grants recorded an expenditure of R3,3 billion representing 38,9% of the total budget of R8,5 billion while R2,1 billion or 30,3% was spent on provincial infrastructure. The total budget for infrastructure is R5,3 billion.
R538,8 million was collected as Provincial Own Revenue during the first five months of the financial year.
