Petrol bomb attack: Police ask Bongani Boshomane to assist with ongoing investigation
The police have accelerated their search for the suspect (s) involved in a petrol bomb attack which claimed the lives of a grandfather and his two granddaughters on Friday, 5 October in Sekgakgapeng village.
LIMPOPO – A family of eight, aged between three months to 70-years-old, were asleep when a suspect(s) threw what is believed to be a petrol bomb at the house. It immediately caught fire and the family were trapped inside.
According to Police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe, Kamogelo Kekana (5) died on the scene and her 2-year-old sister Sadie Kekana died on the way to hospital. “The grandfather of the two deceased, Hendrick Kekana (64), died in hospital after being admitted with serious burn wounds. The rest of the injured, including the mother of the two deceased, were taken to hospital for medical treatment.”

“The motive behind this incident is still unknown at this stage but domestic violence may not be ruled out.”
Cases of three counts of murder, attempted murder and arson have been opened.

The Special joint Task Team composed of various Police Units have pulled all the stops and are hard on the heels of the suspect involved in this matter. “We are still calling on Bongani Abrahm Boshomane (45) to report to the Mahwelereng or the nearest Police Station to assist them with the ongoing investigations.”
