Themane suspects due back in court

The seven teenage suspects arrested in connection with the murder of Thorisho Themane (28) in Flora Park late last month are expected back in the Polokwane Juvenile Court on Tuesday and Wednesday.
This after they made a brief appearance on Friday. The two adult suspects, Chuene Maleka and Alfred Mothapo are expected to appear again on the same day but in a separate court.
They were recently released on R1 000 bail each while a third adult suspect was discharged after he could not be linked to the incident.
National Prosecution Authority (NPA) Limpopo spokesperson, Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi informed that the case was postponed for formal bail application and that the suspects are still remanded in custody.
Themane died in hospital on 23 February after allegedly being attacked by a group of youngsters with the incident being filmed and trending on social media.
Police made their first arrest two days later when five teenagers were taken into custody. This was followed by the arrest of a sixth minor suspect, a girl, who was released soon after her arrest as she could not be linked to the incident.
Three adults were apprehended three days after the killing followed by the arrest of another teen suspect about a week ago.
