POLOKWANE – The municipality says they have received an alert from Lepelle Northern Water that the Olifantspoort plant has been stopped due to a specon pipe burst.
In a statement released, municipal spokesperson, Thipa Selela says technicians are attending to the situation and affected areas of supply include the city, Ivy Park Ext 34, Seshego, Ga-Chuene, Ga-Maja and Thokgwaneng
“Water will be restored once the leaks are fixed. In the meantime, areas receiving water are urged to use water sparingly as water supply sources are still recovering from the weekend’s low levels,” Selela added.
The municipality says they will provide regular updates about any new developments concerning water supply.
